S. K. Hui has more than 20 years of technical and managerial experience in the oil and gas, petro-chemicals and chemicals field working with multinational oil and gas Exploration and Production Company and a major Malaysian chemical company.

In formal education, he holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration.

He is a registered "Competent Person" under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (Control of Major Industrial Accident Hazards) Regulations 1996 and a registered chemical health risk "Assessor" under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (Use and Standards of Exposure of Chemicals Hazardous to Health) Regulations 2000.

Throughout his career he has been involved in engineering, project management and coordination, quality management, process plant operations, safety inspections and management, HAZOP studies, risk assessments, emergency response planning, plant and equipment maintenance and chemical transportation.
